Hillary and Anna-Elizabeth Shakespeare are a film-making duo from London, together The Shakespeare Sisters. Their debut feature film Soundtrack to Sixteen was released in 2020 to great reviews, making HeyUGuys most underrated films of the year. Much Ado is their second feature and is now concluding its festival tour. It is due to be released in the U.K. in April 2023, having premiered in the U.S. at Cinequest, and in the U.K. at the London Independent Film Festival, where it won Best Feature. Their latest project, The Unreason, which they co-wrote and produced is a time-travel comedy starring Johnny Vegas, Sophie Thompson, Mark Heap, Jane Horrocks and Tony Way and is now in post-production. Next, they will be writing/directing an upcoming adaptation of YA novel The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli (writer behind Love, Simon).
