As a filmmaker and communications specialist in the public health field, Iman has had an intersectional career. She is the Director of Media & Communications at the Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies (IWES) and holds a BA from the University of Southern California and an MFA from Columbia University. As a writer, director, and editor, she has created over 50 short films, PSAs, and web series, as well as three feature length films (both narrative and documentary), which have been featured in multiple festivals both nationally and internationally.
