Originally from the northwest U.S., I am currently Professor of Rhetoric and Writing at the University of Texas at Austin. My written work focuses on intersections of rhetoric, materiality, and technology, and has been published in a variety of venues. Techne (https://ccdigitalpress.org/book/techne/), a multimedia project co-authored with Jonathan Alexander, won the 2016 CCCC Lavender Rhetorics Award for Excellence in Queer Scholarship. My co-edited collection, Sexual Rhetorics (Routledge, 2017), won the same award in 2017. My first feature film is a documentary, Once a Fury, which profiles the members of a 1970s lesbian separatist collective.
