Jannette Bloom earned her degree in film at Emerson College and then studied acting for five years at a conservatory in Los Angeles, where she also played keyboard and sang in the band White Lights. Her first feature film as director SING TO ME SYLVIE, premiered at Dances with Films and the Portland Film Festival. Jannette previously wrote and produced the feature film MAHJONG AND THE WEST, which premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival and is currently available on streaming platforms. Her TV series WILDCATTERS was shortlisted for the 2021 Sundance Episodic Lab and was previously selected for Tribeca Film Institute’s Sloan Series Workshop and Dame Changer's Screen Tank in Sydney. She has directed several short films and acted in film, TV, and commercials, having once shared the screen with Harvey Keitel in a Korean mobster comedy. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and dog Lenny.
