Jo is an award-winning writer, director & producer. She is currently directing feature documentary OWEN Produced by Lee Brazier (YESTERDAY). Jo is producing the short animation GARDENING, which is in development with the BFI. She recently directed documentary #SUGARWATER following the first ever National Theatre performance by a deaf and disabled company (Graeae). Jo is directing the Sci Fi MERMAID X Produced by Douglas Cox (HOST) and Shadow House Film and directing ECHOLALIC for Erebus Pictures which is in development with the BFI. As Producer Jo has an animated TV series COLD NIGHT RISES under option with LION TV. Jo has worked in TV production for companies including Talkback, Endemol, IWC, ITV, BBC and feature-length documentary co-productions for Discovery Channel. Her production work includes films by Mike Leigh, Anthony Minghella, Ridley Scott and Andrea Arnold’s OSCAR winning short film WASP. Jo runs her own Production company Hipster Films and was selected as 2021 Directors UK Inspire Mentee.
