Kelly is a documentary filmmaker and journalist in Singapore. Her debut feature documentary, Curtain Up!, follows elementary school kids in New York’s Chinatown as they begin to discover their identities while preparing for a musical production. The film premiered at the Asian American International Film Festival in October 2020 and was part of the line-up in various other festivals in North America. She is currently co-producing a documentary on a family grappling with the realities of young-onset dementia in her home country, Singapore. Having spent much of a storytelling career in print journalism before venturing into documentaries, Kelly is also a full-time correspondent at Singapore's The Business Times, covering financial disputes, white-collar crime and fintech. She hopes to continue following the (dirty) money into important stories that may one day land on the big screen.
