Laurel Parmet is a screenwriter and director. Her debut feature THE STARLING GIRL premiered in competition at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, screened at SXSW and is being released by Bleecker Street. Parmet received her MFA in directing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, was a fellow of the Sundance Institute's Feature Film Program and was recently named one of Variety's 10 Directors to Watch for 2023.
