María Lobo is a journalist focused on communication as a tool for social change. She works in educational projects to promote citizenship, media literacy & advocacy for Human Rights. In the media industry, she has been working as editor and director for broadcasting channels and production companies, having her job targeted at social, environmental or cultural topics; since 2014 she works for Gingko and for Agareso (non-profit organisation of filmmakers and journalists) As an independent filmmaker, “Indebted to all women” is her first experience as a director and the film has been selected in more than 40 international festivals, being awarded in five of them (Women's Voices Now, Porto Femme Film Festival, Bronx Social Justice Film Festival, Porto Femme Film Festival and Down East Flick Fest, plus the Audience Award in Humans of Film Festival)
