NICOLINA LANNIĀ is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. She is a Director and Producer working in feature film and broadcast television which include programming for Netflix, Amazon, CBC, CTV, History, Discovery, NHK, SBS, Global TV and more.

Her first feature length documentary LOST & FOUND (2017) had an international festival tour and was broadcast across 4 continents. LOST & FOUND was awarded The Hot Docs Ted Rogers Fund and was chosen for the prestigious Hot Docs Forum. THE ELEVEN (2018) was a 6-part documentary series for A&E that she directed & produced and garnered her a Canadian Society of Cinematography award in 2018 for best cinematography in docu-drama. SPACEMEN (2019) is her second feature length documentary for the CBC was also nominated for a Canadian Society of Cinematography award.

    March 11, 2011 Japan was hit by the largest earthquake in its recorded history. The ensuing tsunami engulfed over 90 cities killing over 18,000 people.

    Millions of tons of debris was pulled into the Pacific and left floating.

    One year later Beachcombers in North America started finding Japanese items washed ashore and became consumed with finding the owners.
    Lost & Found follows the unlikeliest of friendships that were forged in the wake of a massive natural disaster.
