Patrice O’Neill is a filmmaker and CEO of the Oakland-based non-profit strategic media company, The Working Group and leader of Not In Our Town, a movement of people across the country working to build safe, inclusive communities for all. Her film Not In Our Town began as a half-hour PBS special and turned into a dynamic movement that thrives in communities across the U.S. and around the world.

O’Neill has produced successful national PBS programs for two decades, including five Not In Our Town documentaries, The Fire Next Time for POV, the 10-part Livelyhood series, and over 100 short films used in communities and schools nationwide. O’Neill’s latest film Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life examines the Pittsburgh community’s powerful and inspiring response to hate in the aftermath of the deadliest antisemitic attack in U.S. history.
