Silvina Landsmann is a Tel Aviv-based documentary filmmaker whose cinematographic method is based on observation and listening. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Silvina immigrated to Israel as a child with her family, escaping the Argentine military regime. After completing her studies at the Tel Aviv University Cinema Department, she moved to Paris where she worked in documentary film and fictional films in a variety of roles. Back in Israel, she founded Comino films in order to produce her prizewinning documentaries, such as: Hotline (Israel 2015), Soldier/Citizen (Israel 2012), and Unto Thy Land (Israel 2007).
