Born and raised in México, Teresa is the director and producer of CRUZ (2021), one of eight directors of the documentary Nahui Ollin (2017), director and producer of SUNÚ (2015), two short animation films: TEWE CHIVA NÉSERO (2006) and EL ENTIERRO (2007), and jury member for GFN (2017), International Film Festival Cinema Planeta (2017), and Iran International Green Film Festival (2016). She is the founder and director of El Teatro Indígena de la Sierra Tarahumara (2002-2011), a puppet theatre company based in Mexico’s Sierra Madre and has been a member of the Bread and Puppet Theater Company based in Glover Vermont since 1996.
