Willow O'Feral is an award-winning director, producer and cinematographer of feature documentaries 'Sisters Rising' and 'Break the Silence: Reproductive & Sexual Health Stories,' and a co-founder of Haptic Pictures. Willow is a 2022 DOC NYC “40 Under 40” filmmaker and a proud member of New Day Films, the longest running distribution cooperative for independent documentary filmmakers in the US. 'Sisters Rising' has garnered numerous recognitions including: Best Documentary Feature at the American Indian Film Festival, Best Film Award from Women’s Voices Now Film Festival, a Silver Telly Award for Social Impact, Best Documentaries of the Year from Video Librarian, Thaddeus Stevens Award from Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival, Honorable Mention Big Sky Award at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, and Media For A Just Society Award from Evident Change. 'Sisters Rising' is nationally broadcast on America ReFramed PBS and distributed by Women Make Movies. 'Break the Silence' was awarded Best Doc Feature at La Frontera Queer Film Festival and the Choice Champion Award by Planned Parenthood of New England, and was created in collaboration with Willow's community using a reproductive justice praxis. Willow lives in Vermont.
